More counter-arguments

Pretty good read. The median age thing is definitely worth consideration.

Author seems a bit ignorant though

I had a delicious Sichuan meal one time in Cleveland.

He says this as if it's somehow surprising. Cleveland actually has some pretty solid restaurants. It shouldn't be surprising that he found something good to eat there.

But certainly an 18 year old now is heavier than an 18 year old in 1980, no?

Presumably yes. I just think that the median age might skew the overall numbers.

I wouldn’t cook with olive oil but it’s ok to use as a dressing. Once it hits its smoke point it will oxidize. Ghee, butter, and tallow are better for cooking with.

So are you telling me deep frying is out of the question?

Quality tallow is definitely a lot more expensive than industrial soybean oil, but you can def deep fry in it and re-use it even. Man, it tastes better.
