Sam Briggs may be out of the 2018 CF Games due to Visa issues..

She is competing in the Women Masters 35-39 age group.
Asked for help yesterday to anyone who could assist getting her visa approved and she said she would donate any prize money to the charity of their choice to the person who could do so.
She had issues a few years ago with getting her visa approved (last min approval allowed her to compete) so this isn’t a Trump issue.
If she competes, she will win her age group easily.

Pardon my stupidity........but can she not just get on a plane to the US with her passport?

Another pardon for stupidity, but can anyone speculate what grounds the denial would be for?
None of my friends have ever had any issue with a work visa on projects abroad
(granted I realize 4 people is a small sample size), and it seems there are a couple cf athletes that get denied every year.

I don't really know who this person is since I don't follow CF Games but if she received a visa before I bet anything she had a visa violation in one of her other stays, most likely overstaying her visa. I knew several people this has happened to. One guy even had his flight cancelled and overstayed by a few hours and was denied a visa the next time he wanted to travel to the US.
Also if this is the case it doesn't matter who is the president and or what country you are coming from.
