Yeah, I know magazines are becoming relics of the past.
But in year's past, I enjoyed this magazine. Nice articles, photos, etc.
Now, it totally sucks. Worthless.
I had a annual subscription for $5, and I wonder if it was a waste of money.

In the last few months, RW hired a new editor who changed the direction of the magazine. It is now less visual and more content based, with a greater focus on in-depth articles. The reason given for the shift was that all the pictorials and lighter columns can be found on the website.

In my experience RW is way too marathon focused. I understand that it sounds fancy and marathons are a big name thing, but not all of us are marathoners. I would've loved to see some 5k track workouts, gait analysis articles, etc. But it seemed like it turned into a shoe advertisement magazine with some marathon highlights thrown in.

Totally agree. I used to read it cover to cover every month but then they fired Wiley and brought in some non-runner chick and it went to crap. Guess they realized the mistake and canned her too. Now it's like 10 pages of running stuff and 20 pages of shoe reviews every month. I assume the shoe companies are keeping it afloat.
