Are there packs you an get that have pockets for weights and can be used as a normal pack? I see these vest and specialty ruck for weights. Just would like it to have 2 functions at the prices they are.

Go Rucks are not Rucks in the traditional sense
But they do the job
You can get an assault bag or 72 bag off Amazon that can also fit the Go ruck type plates in
If you trying to fit real size weights your gonna need a traditional ruck to it to work best because they should have a radio pouch. Can’t go wrong with a traditional Alice pack and steal frame.

You can get a backpack of whatever is quality enough to hold the weight you want and then get sandbags to put in it.

Protip: gallon zip loc bags hold about 3.5 lbs of sand. Tape 'em up good with duct tape and you can easily add or remove weight as needed.

I just loaded up one of my packs to 30lbs and walked 3 miles. My legs definitely felt the weight but overall wasn’t difficult. I’m assuming I need to go a lot further to equal my typical 5 mile runs? Didn’t want to go to far on first try. I can see where the vest types would be much more comfortable.
Edit: a few hours later legs feel wiped. I get it now.

I’ll try to get 3 miles in on my rest days. 6 miles Saturday or Sunday. I’m glad I started doing it as the pacing isn’t bad, your body gets a good workout, and it is low impact. I take it slow at 20-22 minute miles.
It shreds fat.

An Army buddy of mine just always stuff bottles of water in his pack. Can get it to 40ish pounds if he wants.
