Can/should I do push-ups and pull-ups daily if I’m not doing Greyskull? My routine right now is hitting each body part twice a week.

If it doesn't effect performance of your main program and deter your goals, go for it.

Yes do the GSLP homework no matter the program. It’s all sub-maximal so it should not effect your main lifts.

Will it help though? Should I see better strength gains if I add them in?

Will you see strength gains if you go from 10 bw chins to 20, isn't that strength gains in and of itself?
If it is not affecting strength gains and you can recover from it, then of course do it. Pushups help other things besides just muscles, helps soft tissue too.
If you can't do 50 pushups on command you have a long ways to go on the basics, same goes for chins, should be able to do 10 on command or very close to it.
