This week's meal prep
LINK

Toned down the fat with 1/3 fat cream cheese, and added fat free mozz on top instead of Monterey Jack. Will eat with rice.

M - W will be normal, but Th, F, S I will be out of town on a mini vacation with my older son. Planning to just keep tracking.. Yesterday I wasnt very hungry so I stashed up some macros, and will probably do similar through the week to give myself some room.

Back from seaside , ended week with average of 2300 cal daily and 139g protein. Did my daily bodyweight stuff and some conditioning sprints/crawls/burpees with my oldest boy.
Still 185lbs so a win for me, no gain.
Still a goal of around 170 I think to be as lean as I would like.

Check-in

265/262.3/220

265/261.2/220

Came back from vacation, checked in as non-compliant, and the app made my next check-in today.

Not as much as id like over 2 weeks but downward trend is still good. I have no more hurdles until October, when I have a wedding in Dallas to attend, my older son's birthday, and my birthday... so lets make September solid AF.

The plan: keto and running. C25K on my treadmill. Walking non-running days.

Im thinking I can drop about 20 lbs by Thanksgiving. Ill survive the Holidays. Then, Ill hit the new year hard. I do my best b/t new year's and mardi gras.

so i was gonna tell you....you may want to switch to macrofactor instead of carbon. so all those times you have to mark non compliant on carbon and it just throws the data out....macrofactor actually uses the data and the weigh ins to get an even better picture of your tdee.

i am going to be using it i think starting in oct.

New month, new scan. Even with an absolute horrible diet month I managed to drop BF% and pick up almost 3 lbs of muscle. PPSA is the truth.

20% BF, 127 skeletal muscle, 275lbs. You clearly need a CPAP. Probably only do 3 sets of squats.

Excellent work

I dropped 18 lbs of straight fat over the last year. My skeletal muscle mass is the same but I’m 18lbs lighter. I went from 24%bf to 16%. I’m sitting at about 187 lbs. I’d like to get to 13%bf and 175-180lbs. I’m 5’8” for reference. I’ve plateaued in the last month. I stopped tracking macros but remained eating pretty good.

I used RP Strength to track macros but I got tired of measuring everything. Eyeballing it isn’t working for me so I guess I’ve got to go back to measuring shite.

Try macrofactor, imo it's the best of the apps with the auto coaching feature

Great job btw

Thanks. Can you scan in store bought food with macrofactor? That’s one of the nice things about RP.

I've decided to take an entire month off from drinking alcohol after asking my wife how much weight she thinks I could lose. She said "20 lbs."

Do I prove her right or wrong?

What do you like about this app compared to Carbon? Btw, I use Carbon

Main thing is with carbon if you don't eat exactly what it says you mark non compliant and it Essentially throws all the data out and doesn't use it.

With MF it uses that data plus body weight to get an even better picture of your tdee, it doesn't waste the data.

That seems like it can be a bit of a double edged sword, though.. if you dont log accurately you dont really want that data.

I forgot to post my check in last week..

Last week: 265/260.8/250
Macros got lowered again

This week: 265/258.8/250
Finally busted through the 260 wall. Macros stayed the same.

Target macros:
179p
171c
63f

Im finding myself at the calorie level where I still feel fine but my brain is playing tricks because I want to eat more, whether I'm actually hungry or not. Looking for any excuse or rhyme or reason to eat things, have to pay attention to prevent that from happening and drink more water.

I should start up low intensity cardio to slow down calorie drops
