Weigh in Tues: 234.6 (down 1.8)
Steps: 10,247 - 7 day average

Crushed the steps this week with the holiday making work a little quieter.

Diet was good, especially considering the holiday. Had a bbq but stuck with grilled veggies, coleslaw, a burger, and a brat (both with no bun).

Going to start some strength training but decided I need to get my joints, range of motion, and core in a better spot after a decade of not working out.

So I downloaded the Mark Lauren app and have started his prep program. I like it so far and I think it’s the right move to get back in the groove and avoid pushing too hard and hurting myself.

Tues weigh in: 232.6 (down 2.0)
7 day step average: 9,063

Diet was good with a planned cheat meal for my birthday. Was craving nachos so I had a big arse chicken nacho platter and it was glorious. Back clean after that.

Did another week of the Mark Lauren prep program to get my joints, core, and range of motion improved before I start a real weights program and I’m liking it.

Goal is 13 lbs away. But I may tack on 10 more lbs but the summer is going to get much tougher as I have 3 vacations yet to get through

Well fellas I find myself hard off the wagon. I had another baby and told myself I'd get back to it after a month but here I sit with a 2 month old to go with my 3 y.o., and haven't been to the gym once and haven't counted a calorie once. I've found it very difficult to figure out when I'll be able to go since I'm either working or watching s kid right now.

I think I'm gonna drop crossfit and give the new Crunch fitness a shot. $30/m and they have Oly platforms..the way I see it, I can pay $30/m for the gym and pay for programming from Cal strength or some other online program and still save ~$100/m....which I will need while I have 2 kids in daycare

I lost the passion for crossfit anyway. I was going and sandbagging, not really wanting to do any of the WODs that werent just lifting. Just the social component and the habit kept me going. I find no real desire to go back to that. It will be difficult to get back to the consistency I have had with crossfit though.

Tues weigh in: 230.4 (down 2.2)
7 day step avg: 8,920

Diet was pretty good. Had a bit of a cheat one day as chick fil a was killing me as I drove by but kept it reasonable, no fries, and righted the ship the next day. Even threw away leftover birthday cake.

Got through another week of Mark Lauren work outs. They are definitely getting more challenging.

Gotta crush it the next 3 weeks as July’s goal will be to break even as I intend to enjoy vacation.

Tues weigh in: 229.4 (down 1.0)
7 day step avg: 10,618

A weak week, which is interesting since I felt like my diet was good and steps were high. Oh well, progress is progress. Keep grinding.

Mark Lauren program still progressing

190 / 155 / 150

Haven’t posted in a while, still going strong. Will likely knock off the last 5 after the 4th bc we’re going on vacation. Looking forward to getting to “maintenance mode” and focusing on adding muscle while continuing to lose some fat.

FE that is inspiring, I’m in the same boat you were in and now I will go back to my counting calories. I use to do it my mid 30s and I was 175. Now I’m 48 and 270. I’m back at it again and have only been on it for my first week back. Goal is to get back to 230-40 and get back into gym, right now I’m running outside and inside treadmill. Your comment stoked me. It’s harder late 40s than when I was mid 30s, but I’m determined. Keep your work up.

Happy to hear it was encouraging! I’m still lifting regularly, but have slacked off on counting calories. Fluctuate between 205 and 210, but look better than when I was down to 200. I’ll do a caloric deficit sometime soon, for maybe 6-8 weeks.

If I had to do it all over again, I would’ve immediately starting a lifting routine. I’m sure I lost muscle in the beginning.

That’s great, I think light calisthenics while going through the low calorie stage to get down to the objective weight. My objective is 200. I’m back to learning how to run again and I run during the late afternoon in the sweltering heat, low impact through bean and corn fields here at the house wearing a heavy hoodie, sweating it out. I’m only doing a mile and a half until I get back on track. When I get to 250 I’ll start the light calisthenics. I’ll get up to 3 miles a day for 5-6 days a week. So this morning had a huge fluid lost down to 265. First week down and starting week 2. Let’s get it!!

K guys

I'm back in the saddle, for the 400000000000000000th time

262.6 this morning, so I actually managed to lose weight over the last 3 months despite not trying to. About 6 pounds. Hope it's not all muscle.

I went to the new Crunch yesterday and just got a little lifting in.. starting out light so I can work my way back in without dying of soreness. Just simple, compound lifts to get the whole body.

I'm using Carbon, set to maintenance this week just so I can get back into the swing of logging everything.

I was looking at that last night. Grasshopper might be good for me to get back into the swing of things.

would prolly be perfect for you. i suggest just keeping it simple since you have kids.

pick out a meal plan you can stick to and eat that away.

i would suggest just getting your macros from leangains calc, cooking 4 days of lunchs and dinners on sundays and then do the next 3 on wednesdays.

keep it simple, keep variety to a minimum at lunch and factor in going out to eat 1 or 2 times on the weekend.

im going back to this as soon as i get back from vacation next week. its the only way i can stay consistent with 3 kids.

i been doing ppsa filling out the hoodie but will be doing strongville, followed by silverback remastered once we get back from vacation. will try and squeeze in lets pregame before squatober starts.

right now i need variety. with all the ppsa programs being 4 weeks, except grasshopper, it helps with me staying discplined.

lmk if you have questions or need help with anything can always email if you want to keep it off the board.
