Calculating macros and I see two answers that keeping popping up when I google. It’s either 136g protein, or 100g protein. What gives? And more importantly which is it?

Chicken breast is a relative term.
What size chicken breast? How many grams of chicken?
Does it have the tenderloin still attached?
Do you plan to eat it raw?

Title clearly states 1lb.
I obviously don’t plan to eat it raw, but if I bought 5lbs of raw chicken breast at the store do I multiply 5x136 or 5x100?
Im asking if anyone knows why the protein in one 1lb of chicken breasts tends to vary so widely from 136 to 100, and which should I use when calculating macros.

I've always seen the 33 or 35 grams for 4 oz servings, so 4X that would be in the 135-140 range

I always thought 7/8g per oz when it came to chicken

Thanks. I always thought 136 seemed high considering almost every other meat source is around 100g per pound, didn’t think their was anything about chicken that made it particularly protein packed.

just go with the less amount of protein so that you eat more of it. That way you know youre covered.
