If you use a buffer, it works best if you only use the edge. This was a thing a few years ago; I still use for IT band and traps.

all kidding aside this looks like a great tool for the traps, rhomboids, sits, and it band areas

I made the jigsaw one yesterday and it is awesome!

What did you use as a cloth on the sander?
I just threw on an old pair of shorts and went at it. It just wasn't getting into the muscle well enough to really do anything.
My friend DIY'ed a jigsaw and it was very comparable. I just didn't have a jigsaw, but will be getting one tomorrow. I can get a Theragun for $50 and also wind up with a jigsaw.

Or you can find a female Chinese therapist to give you a reach around

I just started using my DIY version today. The golf ball hurts a bit, so it will take a little getting used to.

I did the golf ball and don't think it's that bad. I don't have a reference though.

Maybe I just need to man up and get tougher. I have some pain spots in my quads and glutes after yesterday. My hams and back tolerated it better.

I wanted to punch my wife when she got to my hamstring.

Nice. I’m currently working on my lower quad above the knee to help with patella tendinitis.

That's one of the areas I'm targeting. I have some nagging knee pain in my left patella, and I'm hoping this will resolve it.
I didn't have a jigsaw ahead of time, and I basically got a jigsaw plus a theragun for $62. I have high hopes, it just pounds the **** out of you. Hopefully once I adjust, it will work.

I'm gonna try this DIY version but use a super bounce ball instead of a golf ball.

The only caveat I've heard on that is heavier balls strain the blade more bc it isn't made to hold weight as it saws.
My friend did a lacrosse ball and that worked, though.

In the DIY link, someone asked the specific question of using a lacrosse ball and the weight was the factor against it.
