Peloton instructed customers to immediately stop using the treadmill and contact the company for a full refund or "other qualified remedy," the statement said. Peloton has also stopped the sale and distribution of the Tread+.

I got mine in like 2 weeks ago, pretty bummed about this cause I love the thing.

Not sure exactly what the problem is but I think it has something to do with the platform being raised. I could see small pets or children getting “sucked” underneath it if they were too close to the back end of it.

Thats exactly what is happening. A child died getting sucked under one is my understanding.

I guess other treads have a guard on the back/bottom end to avoid that from happening. Where the Peloton is open.

Depending on your situation i would just keep using it

More hit and miss than you think. I am looking right now at my ProForm Carbon T10 and it is open at the back, bottom of the platform is about 7 inches above the floor.
