Just delete this thread. Obviously no one can answer the question at hand they can just give their opinion on something totally irrelevant to the original question.

at 10% you shouldnt be seeing or worrying about any "fat" round the belt line unless you are competeting.

At this point, any progress should come from tiny changes.

Do you get 7+hrs of sleep? If not, I'd start there.

You are likely suffering from a body image issue, though. If you really are 10%, there's not much fat there. 10-12% is my favorite zone, look great AND feel great. I got to about 7% once and felt horrible, it was nowhere near sustainable.

You should get someone else's opinion.

i am not calling you a lie by no means. But you may be mistaken. But at 10%bf you shouldnt have any (fat) around the belt area that should be bothersome. If you are really 10% and worried about how you look, you need to take a step back. Because 10% is great! How did you get your bf% measured?

If you have fat around your beltline, then you are not at 10% body fat.

When you get that low in BF, the only way to lose more BF is to alter your diet, period. At his low BF you are basically is a cutting phase. My suggestion would be consume about .82g per pound of body weight, 30% fat intake of daily calories, and the remaining calories should consume of complex carbs.

even still, 10% is shredded. There should be no visible fat that actually bothers anyone unless you are getting ready for competetion.

Used to be a sprinter, by the end of the season several guys were around 10% and super-ripped. Less than 10% is actually stupid hard for most non-competitive athletes or bodybuilding/fitness competitors to maintain.

In most cases less than 10% looks really "freaky" and often "unhealthy", the only people I've ever seen consistently and naturally at less than 10% were rail thin long distance runners (and this one ashtanga yoga chick I hooked up with, interesting experience).

If you're 138, I would try to gain muscle while holding steady fat wise. Muscle will ultimately drive your metabolism.

I don't mean this as a criticism, but if you're 138, you can only have so much lean muscle and it probably isn't enough to drive metabolism.

I'm not sure about supplements and there have been some good responses already. While I've improved my core in recent years and attempt to attack it from all angles (including squats, deadlifts, etc.), I recently did some jumps that resulted in a 72+ hour soreness in my front section of beltline.

It was one of those beautiful days and I felt like doing something outside after lifting so I went to an area that had three sections of 7 steps/each. After doing a few traditional runs up and down, I realized that it was a difficult challenge (I'm 40 with closer to 15% BF) to jump off two feet up to the third step and then use that momentum to make my 2nd jump even further to the top. I needed that adrenaline impact of realizing I could hurt myself to get the most out of that 2nd jump. I may try to add this as a twice/month thing to see if it helps my lower abs/core area.

That's good. I would continue with strength work. If you're building muscle through heavy compound work and truly around 10%, the aesthetics will take care of themselves.
