Might as well bump this thing so we don't get to page 2. I'm at a little over 25 miles for the week and have 15 on the schedule between today and tomorrow. The fatigue is starting to creep in with the mileage increase and the heat. However, I weighed myself yesterday for the first time in months and I'm down about 10 pounds. I didn't have a whole lot to lose in the first place but that explains why the pace is feeling easier

30 minutes off the bike today around noon. 91 degrees with a 76 dew point and the sun blazing here in Miami. Definitely one of the worst if not the worst runs I've done since moving here last year in terms of the heat/humidity combo. Just brutal - my heart rate was at 170 running 9:45 pace in the last 5 minutes.

Yeah it's been brutal here too. Not quite as bad as yours, but my workout yesterday was at 89 degrees, dew point of 73. I did 7x1km and was aiming for a minute rest but I ended up having to take longer towards the end because it was that hot. I keep telling myself I'll see the gains in 4 or 5 months

82 degrees at 6am in Houston today.

Sucks for my dog, she only has 2-3 miles in her with the humidity

I was excited to wake up and see it was "only" 77 this morning! 11 miles done, 41 for the week.

3.5 at 9 min this morning. First run since the injections that my knee didn't feel like it was going to explode. This has been a horrible 2 month period mentally for me not being able to run, it was great to get out again. Going to slowly build mileage back up for 50k in November, and then 50 mile in March.
Man it's good to be back.

6.5 Saturday, 3.5 Sunday, 4.5 yesterday and leg workout today. Knee is pain free. Shooting for 7, 4 and 5 this Saturday-Monday and see how it feels. Not ready to hit that mid week stroller run with my daughter yet, going to stick with slow and smooth to get back into swing of things.

I finally got a run/walk in yesterday after nearly 4 years of little exercise. It felt good, but I’m sore this morning.

Take it slow and steady, consistency is the key.
Was talking with a buddy at work and we weee both saying how it feels so much better to be sore from workout/runs than what we were feeling from being sore and not even working out or doing anything just aches for no reason!!!

7 at 9:00 this morning, didn't stretch and knee started with the sharp pains at mile 5. Going to run trails tomorrow and see what happens. But first, cheat day.

I hit 41 miles 2 weeks ago, and last week between vacation and some IT band soreness only did 14

I'm aiming for like 35-38 this week, got an easy run today and a long run tomorrow. It's looking like treadmill weather now that heat indexes are triple digits

Track is partly shaded in spots and full sun at others, those full sun spots were brutal. Garmin says I’m 83% acclimated.

4 run/walk workouts over the past week. I don’t think it will take long to get back to straight running, but I’m still rehabbing SI joints and related tendon issues. If that holds up over the next few weeks, I’ll be in my way.
