How was it? Looked awesome out there.

I tried to push my workout to the afternoon, but wife wanted to knock it out this morning. I’ve never been so proud.

Solid one today. The back was pumped after.
Right at 90 minutes and I did 2 minutes after everything. I needed all of that 2 minutes too. My knee can't handle those lateral lunges yet so after the first set I subbed heavy wide stance goblets.

The environment was amazing!

Got to watch Skene's complete game last week and got to see he and Crew's last game at the box last night. Witness history!

W2D1 down . Also took us 90mins. The extra reps and sets on the upper body stuff was a killer; upping reps to 8 for Bulgarians at last week’s weight surprisingly wasn’t too bad . Looking forward to squats tomorrow.

W2D1 done. Y’all scared me with how long it took y’all so I sped up the breaks and finished right at 70 minutes. Extra reps on back were tough.

I hadn’t done overhead tricep cable extensions in years, those felt great.

ETA: And now as I type this I’m seeing that I clearly missed those last week

W2D2 done, and I’m ready for a rest day tomorrow! It was hard to get moving mentally this morning, but felt fine after I started the squat sets. Super-setted rows + presses and curls + dips + hip thrusts. I used the same weight as week 1 for the thrusts and glutes were on fire. Definitely feeling the lower body volume of this program, but also feeling strong and stable on the main lifts.

Another long one with a lot of reps. Some parts were definitely harder than others so it was a little bit of a mixed bag on intensity. 3rd and 4th Squat set, last few reps on the DB pull overs and incline press, and the BB hip thrusts got pretty brutal. The RDLs, rows, curls, and dips weren't too bad. I know I looked awkward as hell doing those hip thrusts, but just said screw it and went after it. I made some sort of noise late in one of the sets that just made it more awkward.

I gotta try harder tomorrow to get the right set up for thrusts.

I tried one of the foam plyo boxes as a support, but didn't like it at all. Plan on going back to using a bench next week. I did swap to bumper plates this week (I'm only doing 95# currently) and it was a nice adjustment over the smaller iron plates.

I wonder if it would be doable with one of the straight curl bars? We have a tower of them with the preset weights. I may try one of those and give it a go on a bench.

My gym has the same thing, but the straight bars stop at 50#. 60+ are the w-shape EZ curl bars. The bar wasn't my issue. I just have issues getting setup. I tried one of the foam plyo boxes today and just didn't like it, the edges aren't firm enough for me. Going to go stick with a bench and BB with bumper plates.

Yea I think that is my plan. Ours goes up to 100 lbs.

If not then I will use the bumper weights.

I worked up to 135 on the hip thrusts, but now I can barely walk up/down the stairs in my house.

//edit: After a shower and a 20 min walk, I’ve decided that hip thrusters were obviously needed in my programming. Otherwise I wouldn’t feel like a donkey kicked me in my buttocks after doing them

Those thrusters kicked my arse today. I went way too heavy but I stuck it out. I’ll be sore all day

Today was great. Sumo deadlifts felt good. My only issue is a small rip on my right hand. Made those last few reps a little painful. Feeling much better about the RFESS sets. I forget who gave the pointer about taking 3 steps heel to toe for position, but that has helped me tremendously. I feel much more stable now. Also felt better on wide goblet squats. Less burn this time and plan on upping the weight next time on those.

W2D4 done. I’m pooped. Wish I could have gotten that Wednesday off this week. This week kicked my butt

Very similar to W1D4 except not quite as intense. Bench was pretty much the same. It looked too light, but that last set was enough. The rest of the plan was spot on, not too little or too much.

Then came the lunges.... second set got the legs burning. I just cant get the hang of walking reverse lunges. Even using just body weight I'm stumbling around (albeit not as bad as week 1). I'll be out of town W-F next week so need to line up a gym or make it up Sat/Sun when I get back.
