With more calories available to eat at dinner I can normally eat whatever I want if I control portion size.
This is one of the great benefits of IF. Big fan.

you really shouldn't wait until you hit a goal weight. find a way right now to fit cheese into your macros. maybe you reach for one less handful of nuts or a bit smaller slab of butter on your meat. don't be restrictive over something like cheese.

I’d love to reintroduce dairy into my diet now, but I also think I have an inflammatory reaction to dairy stemming from childhood lactose intolerance. Sometimes I think it messes with the weight loss or gives an appearance of stagnation. So for now, I’m doing dairy-free for the most part just to keep the momentum going. I have had a couple of those 25 Greek yogurts as an occasional treat, because a ratio of 25G protein to 3G sugar is hard to pass up. I do miss cheese a lot.

I feel my key to losing weight was a solid 2 months of counting calories to develop an awareness of how many calories I was actually eating and figuring out low calorie options I enjoyed that were easy to make for lunch and snacking.

This is key. Count calories for a period of time to see where you're at, while also measuring weight consistently (wake up, piss, weigh). If you're holding steady, a small calorie reduction will start weight loss. It doesn't even have to feel like a diet.
