Apparently the female attitude of "if I lift, I will get huge" has infested the weak male populations.

This is the attitude we're trying to fight against.

There's nothing wrong with a man looking like a man. Broad shoulders, thick neck, barrel chest, large traps, and being able to lift something heavy when the need arises.

Hell I remember a couple of years ago people on here giving me a hard time because I said that a 225lb deadlift wasn't strong.

Like JP says; building a nation of linebackers.

You don't accidentally look like Arnold. Without having great genetics and pumping lots of hormones and eating a ton of calories you wouldn't ever look like that even if you wanted to

I did this one a couple years ago and I was just starting back in the gym. I enjoyed it and feel like it helped me get the feel for the different types of exercises really well.

Your goal is to bench 145 or that is your current max?

NFL combine is reps of 225?

If you’re trying to get to a max of 145 and build functional strength, a simple push-up progression program should easily get you there.

For the pull-ups, resistance band assisted pull-ups work well . Once you get stronger, you can also use resistance to add resistance on pushups

Are you going to be in a calorie deficit? Yes? Then you won't get bulky. If you're new to strength training you'll put a bit of muscle on as you lose weight but lifting weights doesn't make you big unless you try really hard to. Guys spend a decade trying to get big.

If you listen to nobody else in this board just listen to lsu777.

Follow the Greyskull program, including the homework, and create a calorie deficit with your diet and stay consistent.

Why not cut all the extra gym memberships and pay for good foods? It’s not hard if you put in a little discipline.

Have you tried doing meal prep where you have food for several days prepared? It makes it way easier to stick to a plan if the food is ready to go. An instantpot comes in very handy for this

You can get good healthy food economically if you shop well and plan it out. (Costco is a great source for bulk healthy food)

Now that you point that out, I can see some troll potential in this thread.

Normally the trolls stay away from this board so the dialogue is usually pretty honest and open with posters trying to help each other out
