how yall liking this one?

Trusting the process, putting in the work, baby steps. Humbled I had to decrease training max & have to split up the pull ups….

I don’t spend much time in the comment section so nothing to add there.

Haven’t done any of the PPSA bench focused programs so cant compare, but I enjoy these month long focused programs

Day 7 done

Listened to his videos and attacked today like a max effort day. Smoked really. Going to celebrate the end of this month with a big ol Cuban sandwich

Cheers

but in the end...if you set a big pr in bench, get way better at pullups and get bigger triceps.....pretty successful month overall

And this is my goal. I now have true 1RM on squats and deads, and will soon have a true 1RM on bench. I have just been using a number that I knew I could get, but wasn't a true max. I haven't maxed on bench since high school.

How’s everyone liking the program? I’m late here, but needing some PPSA in my life.

I'm liking it a lot. Pretty repetitive and monotonous, but I like it. Every day seems to have either 6x6 pull ups or 3x6, so needless to say I am finally getting better those

Went out of town and missed Friday's workout. I had planned on catching it Monday when I got back, but instead got sick. Assuming I can get in the gym tomorrow I'll be 4 days behind. I'm planning on doing Day 5's workout and see how it goes. All goes well, and I'll work on catching back up with a 5 on 1 off approach.

Also, completely agree on all the complainers. No one is forcing them to follow along. Bill addressed many of these concerns in his videos.

I like the pull ups. I am decent at chin ups but suck at pull ups. Been using the assisted pull up machine. Had to do 50 lbs last week and moved it to 40 lbs for this week with about the same difficulty. Hopefully I can do them unassisted when it's over.

What are y’all doing for rest intervals?

I’ve been running too many PPSAs, can’t rest without being told to do so.

I've been running about 2 minutes between sets.

Same. I usually take breaks as needed but try to keep them short between sets and then a little longer between difference exercises.

If it gets me breathing heavy I go 2:30. If not I go 2:00.

Day 8 done

Quick one around 40mins… arms feel smoked today maybe accumulation of program adding up

Rest times depend on day/exercise. 2mins for any barbell general rule, will cut it down for push ups / pull ups

Yea my man is pretty vascular. I trust the process. But it’s getting repetitive.

Bench felt too light today. But I was dragging arse from no sleep last night so maybe it was a good thing.

I have to bow out from Benchuary (for now). I'm still down from whatever I caught in California. Haven't been able to shake the fever completely yet. I have another trip planned for the 2nd week of March. I'm hoping to complete Benchuary prep before then. When I get back, I'll plan on running Benchauary from start to finish.

I'll still follow along on the thread. Good luck the rest of the way.
