Day 3 done. I tried up a different rack for my pull ups and the smaller bar seemed to make them a bit easier. I think I will add a small bit of weight to them tomorrow.

Subtle brag...

I don't know if everyone is getting the workouts from this thread or IG, but I really enjoy Bill's short videos he post daily. Very different approach from Squatober and Deadcember. I like that he gives his thoughts on why designed the plan the way he did.

Today he talked about the 1 arm rows and technique. Go as low as possible on each rep to maximize the stretch then pull and hold at the top. He also subtly bragged that while he can (or could) row 300# DBs, it wasn't controlled. So pick a weight we can row with control that still pushes us.

Same. I really enjoy watching his breakdowns. I have been watching them while I walk on the treadmill during the warmup.

The tricep pushups burned the hell out of my chest today. Way more than last time.

Man I was feeling good when he said 80 pounds is about the most he recommends on the rows.

And then he said "For females".

Did 5 reps feel pretty easy today on bench or do I need to go up some?

I got the powerblock dumbbells from a post on this site last summer when posted and went on sale but only got the extension up to 70lbs, should have gone all the way up to 90...

Will just add reps if the 70's are leaving anything out there during the programming this month

All 5 of my sets where light today too.

I'm hoping he does the doubles or triples and says to adjust the max accordingly like they did once in Squatober.

Day 4

Today felt good. Took me 1:25 including my warm-up and leg addition.

Since I can't do 6 straight bodyweight pull-ups (and I want to avoid assistance if possible), I went with 8 sets of 3 with 60-90s rests. Figured this was a good compromise that still pushed myself. Rows were solid for sure. I didn't go as heavy on the last 2 sets as planned. Instead I focused more on controlling the weight and squeezing at the top.

Deadlifts have always been my favorite of the major lifts. While is today is only my second time doing SLDLs, they're quickly moving up as a favorite variation. First set felt great so I bumped up the weight on set 2 (and again on set 3). On the Cubans, I stuck with the same 40# EZ bar. Early in the second set I debated moving up a bar for set 3. By the end of set 2, I knew I needed to stick with 40# on set 3. That last set burned and form broke down some on the last 3-4 reps.

As has been the norm, I added a leg accessory also. Today I went with 3x8 Prone Leg Curls. I like to go really slow on the eccentric portion and stop just before the weight stack touches the bottom. It burns so bad, but feels so good afterward.

Heading out of town tonight so depending on what's included in tomorrow's workout, I may get behind. If so, I'll plan to complete Day 5 Monday and just go 6 days straight.

Edit: Just saw Day 5's workout. It's going to be painful for sure. I don't believe I'll have access to a bench the next few days so I'll have to tackle it Monday after my flight. My plan of 6 straight days may go out the window depending on how I feel Tuesday morning. Between the dips and push-ups (not to mention the bench and pull-ups) my triceps are going to be absolute jello.

Today was good. I love doing the pull-ups.

I had been very religious with pull-ups in the past but have slacked off a bit lately.

I need to stretch more. I tweaked my backstraps yesterday doing goblet squats. I always forget how tight my hips get when I don't work on them.

Stole this strat, worked out good. Tried to keep rest time to a minimum between sets. 3 pull ups seems to be sweet spot for me at moment.

Day 4 done & looking forward to capping off the week strong. I'll be a day ahead next week and day behind the following due to weekend trip. Liking this program so far. The cubans will smoke you

Used a 45lb bar for the first set and it was hard!

Went down to a 15lb bar for more control and the burn was still good. Can add weight next time if I want

Day 4 done.

Finally I was able to add weight to my pullups. I heled a 20 lb dumbbell with my feet. Felt great.

Still wish I had heavier dumbbells that 80s, but it is what it is.

Looks like I will be a day behind tomorrow. I'll have to catch up over the weekend.

I think he accidentally wrote his 6 upside down on triceps pushups.

What the hell?

Day 5 done, long one 1:20 to get through

Today sucked, didn’t have it on bench. Been using training max I used all last year for Pen & Paper programming but from todays performance will lower it… it is what it is but wish I would have done more bench work past few months as did Deadcember into Dumbell Strength, basically neglecting bench work…. Whatever, excuses like booty holes everyone got em and they stink

After frustrating bench I did ring dips as that’s what I have. Weak performance again, the instability of the rings and already bad head space…

Broke pull ups into sets of 3, those were my highlight

Push ups upon push ups, really only last 3-4 reps burning each set but lots of sets…

I was planning on being a day ahead next week and start on Sunday but now not sure if need 2 days off

At least week 1 down, hope y’all crushed it

Cheers fellas

Right at an hour but I didn’t do any legs. Got 7 on my max reps.
