Finally made it back to the gym this morning after almost 2 weeks. Flu sucks major arse this year!

As planned started Benchuary Prep. Its pretty much the basic lifts and schemes of Benchuary. After these past 10 days or so of feeling like shite, I was glad the workload was short and simple. Plan on keeping at it and adding in some legs once I'm back up to full speed.

Day 11 done. I’m 2 days behind this week due to travel… good to be back under bar. Today went well, maybe needed extra rest

Since I raised my max 15 pounds the last two weeks with his AMRAPs, 100% tomorrow will be the most I ever benched. Here goes nothing

Day 12 done, hate being couple days behind....

considering doing days 13 & 15 back to back Friday-Saturday taking day off then running last 5 days on schedule to catch up.... got to look at them more closely to see if makes sense

Day 13 or Wednesday’s done.

Quick one, I goofed and math not matching and had 75% not 65% on bar for bench… at least made me feel better I was pushing more than I thought I had on when re-racking and figured out…

Will wait and see y’all’s review of todays, but might skip a day as looking at calendar and next weekend is a no go

Did it and very happy with the results

The 94, 97, & 100% benches were heavy but not impossible. Did them very confidently



I was worried about the last set (which I am now seeing is x4 and I did x5 for some reason,,, don't tell Bill). I did the 85.7% solo and the 5th rep was heavy. Asked for a spot for the 88.5% just in case and that little extra confidence boost allowed me to hit all 5 easily

So I suck at math and 100% on the 2nd set, after a long warmup. So I just added 5s and ended up getting 280 (also dont tell bill, he would fuss me). And I was pleasantly surprised that I got it! That’s the most I’ve ever benched in my life!

Days 15 & 14 done

Did all of 15: bench felt good. Cranked the boombox up to 11, had tombstone subtitles on tv and got to work.

Felt good enough and was in grove so did all of 14 except the pull ups, shh don’t tell Bill, lol
