I have been dealing with shoulder pain for 2 years. I have a torn anterior, posterior, and superior labrum and a torn biceps insertion. Doc says I need surgery. I tried stem cells which didn't work. My shoulder is better but I'm not sure if that's from 6 months of no gym beyond PT exercises or the stem cells but it is flaring up again. My chiropractor said the shoulder reliever helped his shoulder pains...so here I am!

I'll report back in a month or 2 to let you know if it was a waste of $200 or not.

Is that the thing with the ball on a rope and a handle?

I'm in PT now. One of the exercises is rolling a small ball in circles against the wall. Curious as to what the difference is.

With what you have going just have the surgery, recover and resume your life.

Remember, every Chiropractor out there ( I mean 100%), couldnt get in medical school or dental school.

My chiropractor

I had a doctor at the neurolgy clinic tell me how bad the disc in my neck was and I needed surgery. I opted for a chiropractor and therapy.

That was 15 years ago and pain hasn’t returned.

Hope it works for you.

A chiropractor almost crippled my father. I won’t trust them.

You've wasted two years waiting for the soft tissues to repair themselves. You've dropped $$$ on stem cells avoiding what I think would mostly be a laparoscopic procedure (my SLAP/labrum repair was) in a surgery you'll recover from in 8 weeks.

So, it's not.

And don't forget, the longer you run around forcing your remaining muscles, tendons, and ligaments to carry the load for the shite you refuse to actually fix, the more at risk those bits get.

Assuming you've had the MRI already, schedule the surgery. Put it on the calendar now, for say, October. If your miracle device somehow has you benching three plates again by Halloween (which I still could do needing the SLAP, but not comfortably), cancel the appointment. At least that way you'll have a placeholder so you can use your deductible this calendar year. You'll get to wear the arm pillow and sling while it's not 100 degrees out, too.

If it was just the torn labrums I probably would have. However its the bicep insertion area that hurts which tells my doc that's the main issue. That requires detaching and re-attaching my bicep which is a 6-9 month recovery.

I caved and bought one a while back. I don’t think the exercise itself did much for me but the brace that ties your wrist to your leg was a game changer. I never realized how much pain in my shoulder came from all the crazy ways I had my arm throughout the night.
