I really do appreciate the replies and will be the first to bump this weeks down the road if I’m just stuck.

Heck, I’ll be taking all this advice anyway in some shape or form.

Get rid of “push day” and “pull day” and start working muscle groups. Your plan seems very high school footballish if you ask me.

Just texted a buddy of mine the info I posted here. He’s a professional body builder, which I have no interest in being, but he’s beyond credible. He said it looks legit. I’ll go with that.

Your buddy is not credible if he really thinks you’re running a solid program. If that’s what you really want to go with, good luck.

Is that a joke? Were doing power cleans and deadlift when playing HS football.

Yea I didn't get that comment either. I was doing bigger faster stronger in HS, essentially earlier variation of 531. BFS is still a damn good program to follow.

so I can get my form down because I’m a noob

I'm a "noob" too and this doesn't make sense...

If your first set is good form because you're doing lighter weight and more reps, how is your form on the second and third set? If it's good, why not keep lifting heavy for the fourth set with lower reps?

Seems to over-complicate things. I've worked on form the last 6 months with largely a 5x5 structure and gotten stronger.

Why didn’t you get mr Olympia to help you instead of the trainer then?

-Bench
-Overhead press
-Squat
-Deadlift
-Pull ups

If you're a beginner this is all you need.
