Good afternoon everyone. I’m looking for strength and condition programs y’all may recommend for a High school football team. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think Bigger Faster Stronger, is one of the most common. Hits core lifts for groups in a short period of time, like PE.

I would highly recommend jim wendlers 531 kryptea program. its in his forever book. Jim is a renowned strength coach and does the exact program with London HS Raiders in Ohio and him and the HC have turned that program around from a doormat to a killer in ohios lower divisions.
its not complicated but its the work they put in that adds up over time. He has them start in 7th grade on the beginner prep school template.
overall its basic and works well.
the BFS program mentioned above is another good program that has more support stuff as in everything is laid out and they also have software etc
if you use kryptea...there is an app called ultimate 531 that the kids can use on their phones to track everything.
ppsa also has fotoball 1 & 2 which is a program developed by former USC S&C coach Aaron Ausmus. Its a great program with the videos on the pen and paper strength app instagram pages
now my personal favorite is the Defranco CPPS Football program. I am certified through the CPPS course and its like phd in football S&C.
if you wanna email me we can discuss more

im a nerd....if it wasnt obvious by being an engineer
frankly i just love the strength and conditioning field. Would have loved to go into it but when i went to college 20 years ago....it didnt quite pay the same as it does now and even now it is a hustle and a grind that is not real condusive to being a good husband and father which have always been and always will be my top priorties. So now its just a hobby for me.
I want to get the other cpps levels and go ahead and get my cscs one day prolly.

What's a good progression as far as strength certifications go? Is there any use in getting any of the CrossFit stuff?

if you are just looking to learn and learn properly i suggest cpps and opex. Precision nutrition for the nutrition side of things.
if you want to get into actual coaching and need a cert to get into the field cscs is the best for that.
CF certs are good if you want to coach CF....if not there are better ones out there.
for everyday people looking to learn and start training athletes....nothing is better than CPPS and the Opex CCP courses.
if you want to look at them....email me.

All depends on what you want to do with it. There’s a lot of different certifications out there and honestly a lot of them are fluff compared to learning in a gym or whatever environment you want to be like if you wanted to do more sports performance stuff
CSCS is one of the more well known certifications that gives you a lot of the basic foundations you need to know. CF-1 is more if you’re trying to do CrossFit. USAW if you’re trying to get into Olympic lifting. All depends on what you want to do, but really the certification a lot of times gets you in the door. A lot of other theory and specialization working with specific clients is learned through internships, mentoring, continuing ed, etc.
