I use it weekly....it's a nice change of pace. Just like anything else it is only as hard as you make it

How is it better than a stairmaster?

I suppose due to incline

Because you are actually climbing and it's not motor driven.
And OP yes I have used it. i would rank it behind a rower, air bike, versclimber and skierg for machine based cardio. Would be ahead of treadmills, arc trainer and convential bikes I'm but I also hate running so I have no use for any treadmill other than a 40 degree incline trainer so if you like running take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Yep, I've used one. It was pretty cool. Didn't use it for a workout though. I could see it being tough.

This thread motivated me to want to hop in the Jacobs ladder after my lift today.
...it was out of order

Last time I was at WAC it was out of order. That's the only place I have ever been that had it. Surprised the shite out of me the first time when I figured out it was not motor driven.

I moved over to Premier Fitness, but damn I miss the WAC sometimes. Place is gritty.

I wish we had one. We have stair climbers and 1 versa climber.
Watching David Goggins do Everest on the Jacobs ladder looked tiring!

Only time I saw one was at my gym when I was in the Army. Wish I had the money for my own
Need to find another gym soon to start lifting again.
