Not as, checked time and it was 23:30. If you can run at all you can beat that easily. I spent 18:30 or so running. The guys that aren't as strong but can run and burpee whip my butt

Never was good, Ive always been too heavy. I am fairly strong, and after 4 years have become more mobile, I rx all workouts that dont require muscle ups or alot of HSPUs or alot of pistols. But if it requires running or getting off the ground I dont do well.

I watched a video the other day of some folks at a crossfit box attempting the 135# sally challenge. Must've been a dozen of 'em all in a circle. The only one to do it properly (without skipping down/up's or dropping the bar) was the woman. She was a beast.

I may give this a shot with the bar on Friday when I have my next squat workout. I've only been back in the gym running my greyskull for 5 weeks now and squats are only just now breaking back in to the 200's after starting at 135.

Yea that video i believe from crossfit NorCal which is Jason Khalipa's gym and was done right after Rich Fronning tweeted the challenge out.

Like I said, it's not about leg strength in this challenge, it's the pause at the bottom putting a lot of emphasis on the lower back muscles that is getting people. It's why I suggested the challenge. It was about giving you guys a way to use the west side conjugate method without knowing it to improve what is a weakness for most people and that is tightness and the ability to push out the hole when you are fatigued. Even though you are using light weight it will drive up your normal squat numbers because it improves what is a weakness for 98% of recreational lifters.

I typically squat low bar, would I need to swap this up to high bar so I can go all the way down?

yea would need to swap to high bar. Should help you a lot more than others that squat high bar all the time as it will really help you with any weaknesses you would have from only squating low bar all the time.

Attempted the challenge today with 65 pounds. Made it through the third long break at the bottom (I think there's 4 total?) before I finally had to start slow down and couldn't keep up with the song. I was wiped out at the end!

My Greyskull progression had me closing in on 225 squats last week and so I chose to finish my 3rd amrap set for each of those to make sure I was legit getting my 5 in. I got my 225 3x5 on Monday so going to attempt to put the challenge back into the mix again.
