Hamstring or Pelvis Problem

For as long as I can remember I have never been able to do toe touches or straight leg raises. I can probably only bend down halfway on toe touches before the pain starts. When I do a straight leg raise, I can barely reach a 45 degree angle and no more. Are there any exercises or stretches to help or should I see someone to help with my range of motion?

Perhaps maybe a combination of yoga and Pilates?

Couldn't hurt. The purpose of Pilates is to increase interabdominal pressure which strengthens the muscles around the spine. Spinal health is never a bad thing.

Romwod is predominately lower body mobility.
Check it out.

you'll have to explain where your pain is at

When I'm stretching to touch toes or any flexibility exercise its usually in my hamstrings. I can really not get very low without it burning really bad back there.

Is it "pain" or just "uncomfortable"?

I guess I wouldn't call it pain, more of the burning feel you get stretching. It's just weird that I can practice stretching and I never really go any lower on toe touches or leg raises.
