protein and creatine are staples, others depend on age, blood markers etc

Thanks. Saw the creatine thread after I asked, so I'll look into what I'm seeing responded there.

I have train myself to interment fasting, so basically do the 13-15 hrs fasting daily. Can even go longer if I'm busy.

I don't do any types of programs. I do your basic bro split always have. I do prefer heavier weight, less reps, moderate volume. Don't get caught up with exact rep numbers. Just use it as a starting guide. For major muscle groups I hardly ever do more the 12 reps on first working set. If I do I'm going too light. And I have no problems if my 3 or 4th set is only 3 reps. That's not to complete failure either as I work out alone. And my workouts are nearly identical when I'm bulking or cutting.

BTW - as to supplements to take, any basic recommendations that could help/assist?

Pretty much the same for me and I have learned that at 45 and especially natty that less is more. I'm pretty much down to 1 warmup set and 1 set to failure for 3 or 4 exercises depending on body part. 2 min rest between sets. I'm usually done in 20-25 min with the weight portion. I do 35 min of cardio 6 times a week. Been getting great results from that routine for a year now.
