Gastritis

Hey guys, coming here for some advice from anyone who may have had a similar experience. Over the past year, my stomach has decided to go to complete shite. I have been diagnosed and treated for giardiasis, blastocystis hominus (both are types of parasites), h. pylori, and finally ulcers. I have eradicated giardiasis, blastocystis, and h.pylori. I have also taken a proton pump inhibitor for 1 1/2 months, and I feel like my latest problem is the most painful. I am suffering from severe gastritis I am told, and a diet is not helping. I feel a sharp pain in my upper abdomen, I have terrible diarrhea, and my stomach in general feels diseased and burning. I’ve read all of the websites that recommend their diets and everything, but so far no relief. Anybody has any first-hand experience with getting rid of gastritis?

Inb4 72 hour water fast.

You need to do a complete reset of your microbiome. Do a 72 hour water fast followed by a fasting focused ketogenic WOE. All of the issues you described are highly curable if you nourish your body in this manner.

In times I’ve had gastro issues (gastritis included), I’ve taken Florastor and it’s helped quite a bit. It’s a yeast based probiotic.
Have you had an upper endoscopy yet?

I have, which is what confirmed the ulcers and gastritis, and a biopsy showed that I no longer have helicobacter. Just trying to get my stomach back!

What did those websites recommend for a diet?

Quit drinking booze if you drink
Get some tests for autoimmune diseases/HIV if you haven’t done so (not making the typical OT aids joke, but if you have all these random parisites in you, your immune system might be compromised).
All the meds used to eradicate the bacteria/parasites in your gut probably killed off the “good” bacteria. Eat yogurt or take some lactobacillus pills.

That sounds just like my experience with giardia. This was two years ago. I had an upper gi. Dr. said I had moderate gastritis. Then, 2 months later, dr order a stool sample and said I had giardia. I took flagyl for 2 weeks.
It took months to clear up, the abdominal pain and alternating diarrhea/constipation. But it did clear up.
Fast forward to this year, in Feb I started the ketogenic diet. In may, the dr said I had diverticulitis. Dr. prescribed flagyl again. Dr. recommended miralax. I have had no real problems since. I do think the miralax has helped me tremendously.
And no, I'm not recommending miralax for you now. But after giardia, you might always have stomach issues. So, on down the line, you might take a look at it if your stomach problems are anything like mine.
