I just got the 265 forerunner and love it.

First question you need to ask yourself is do you want a modern amoled screen, or the old school memory in pixel?

If you want amoled, they don’t have that many, so you’ll have an easy time choosing. A majority of their lineup is MIP, so that would be more difficult to sort between the options. Also, most of the MIP is non touch (button operated only)

You could check out the Suunto brand.

My Ambit3 Peak beat all other brands in battery life which was important for multiday trips. It is an older model though so I don't know about their latest and greatest.

Instinct does what you want. I bought a refurbished one for $120 or so and it’s been solid for almost 2 yrs. Charge about once every 2-3 weeks.
