Anyone have experience with Freedom industries shoes? I'm about to retire my Clouds and ran across these. They have the On look but they are only available online. Any feedback is appreciated.

If for running, I’d buy something else. For cross training and general use, not my style but I’m sure they’d suit you. Looks like they copied the Adidas AlphaBounce upper and Nike Pegasus Trail sole/lug pattern. Not seeing the On similarities, but to each their own.

Edit: upon further research, I’d spend elsewhere. Looks like Freedom Industries is a company peddling cheap Chinese clothes and shoes aimed at guys who are into ‘Merica type military inspired tech gear. I’d wager most of their offerings are junk that will fall apart.

appreciate the heads up, I'll keep looking. I'll do road distance, trails, sprints & walks with a heavy pack all in the same week so I was looking at more of a hybrid. the on's were great but towards the end if I did sprints or some fartlek runs I'd end up with bruises & swelling in the area of the talus bone. thanks again

Buffed out/hard pack trails? How much grip you need?

yeah its nothing too technical, mainly dirt paths with some slight inclines and the occasional muddy spots

Got ya. Think the general consensus best all around trail shoe is the Nike Pegasus 36 Trail. Can be found on sale right now. Also the Nike Wildhorse 6, and Nike Pegasus Trail 2.

Other brands worth looking at: Salomon, Hoka, and Altra (for 0 drop). Since you’re obviously okay with ordering online, go search places like runningwarehouse, REI, and Backcountry see what’s on sale just search for reviews. You can weed out the good and bad pretty quickly.

Bumping this to recommend the trail shoes I use.

If you have a narrow to average width foot, check out the New Balance Summit Unknown. Just did my second run in them, 4 miles @ 9ish pace. Really a great shoe. Super lightweight, breathable, good grip, rock plate, look good, comfortable at slow and quick paces, and can be found on sale. I snagged mine for $45.

I purchased a pair of there XP1 shoes and to my surprise the shoes are made in China and it already shows. I’ve been wearing these shoes to work(office job) the last few weeks and already have some stitching coming undone. I’ve posted feedback on there Facebook and IG page only to have my post deleted and I can no longer comment. This company misrepresents themselves as Freedom USA Co with USA flags all over there products. Most of there products show USA made logos online so why wouldn’t one assume all there other products are also. I do not recommend doing business with a company that misrepresents themselves and then tries to silence you when you give some not so good feedback. Please do your research as there are plenty of good USA companies with similar style products but that are actually selling USA made products. What a disgrace!!
