Exercises to Counteract Golfing

Couldn’t figure out how to google this properly so decided to come here. What exercises should I incorporate to counteract a golf swing? Just swing a golf club the opposite way a few times? Does it even matter?

Just started working out again. Doing strong lifts 5x5 before moving into 5/3/1.

What do you mean by counteract? Are you worried that you’ll get disproportionate muscle development?

I would think a cable machine and some counter rotational exercises would be great.

if you are talking about anti rotation, you can do banded rotations the other way, med ball throws both ways, palloff press, landmine rotation etc


but unless you are playing golf daily, focus on just getting stronger, building the lower back and the posterior chain in general and then add med ball throws to 531 as the throw portion of the warm up.
