Found out I had a severely deviated septum and plan to have surgery later this summer. Hopefully this will fix my poor sleep problems! Has anyone here had this done?

K. Keep me posted.
Seriously.
I have sleep issues and I was told the same thing. The doc didn't call the deviated septum "severely", though.
I always have one nostril clogged at all times all year long. It is usually the deviated side.
This was told to me a couple of years ago, but I never did anything about it.
I'm still considering it, so I will value your story

Have you had a sleep test done? Your poor sleep isnt necessarily from the deviated septum
I had mine done last summer, it will certainly open you up and fix your breathing. Dont believe them if they guarantee it will improve sinus infections/allergies as well as sleep. It could possibly but there are other factors at play

Yeah I’m a loud snorer; I did a sleep study and the dr concluded no sleep apnea
I been living with a deviated septum most my life. One side always inhaled less air obviously.

Will help you breathe better if you have one side that is obstructed, which can help sleep. But there are a lot of other factors to consider for sleep as well, i.e. sleep hygiene, sleep apnea, etc
