35/m/6'0/210

If you can get prescribed, I recommend. I'm coming off a broken femur last December, and I gained a lot (20lbs) of weight during the recovery time. Started depo therapy 12 weeks ago, and I'm down to 185 from a well out of shape 210. Combined with a healthy diet and frequent exercise, depo is a miracle solution.

I should add that I have a somewhat healthy diet - work out 4 days a week, mainly eat white meat/veggies, and cheat like hell 3 days a week

Are you talking testosterone replacement therapy? If so you should not be doing that for purposes of losing weight or any body or strength goal. It's a lifelong decision.

If you are talking a true cycle, tell us more. What was your dosage, did you get blood work done and what is your pct?

Yes, I'm talking TRT. Worth it for every male to get checked

I asked my doctor if I was a candidate for TRT, coming off that long stretch of months where I wasn't very active. My test was at 60. I'm at 1030 now. I take 1cc every 2 weeks, no abuse

1060 is very high for trt levels and you should be taking it way more often than once every two weeks and you will feel much better. I see a specialist at Baylor medical in Houston, top 3 doctor in the world in this field. Trust me, shots once a week at min splitting the dose. Look at the half life and chart it and you will understand.

As far as who should be on it, you get on it when your body is no longer producing and you have gone through other medications to try and get the body to start producing again. Also you should have an MRI on your hypothalamus to make sure it is functioning correctly so other hormones aren't affected.

Also you shouldn't take if you are not done having kids. Might not go sterile but very very good chance you could.

Also trt is not to help you lose weight, get stronger or build muscle. It's a legit medical need. In your case at 60 ng/dl is very reasonable to conclude your body stop producing. But many are within the normal range but not normal for their age and would be candidates also.

Also the test didn't help you lose weight. Testosterone in any form does not burn fat. That is based on diet and tdee.

Pretty good info here. 60 is definitely way too low but 1030 is a bit too high probably. If you can handle doing half the dose and using weekly instead of twice weekly it will really limit the peaks and troughs. I’ve seen some do tiny amounts daily even for a level effect.

start at .5/week and everntually transition that into .25 twice per week and monitor with blood test. You are pretty much same age as me, you will want to be around 750-800 really.

Sucks about the broken leg, but that’s just plain laziness on your part knowing you had to adjust your eating habits after the injury until you were healed.

I had ACL surgery and couldn’t do dick for cardio over 6 months and I put zero excess pounds on.

Just do what your doc says. Do not adjust your dose or the timeframe it’s being taken. Your doc is monitoring you and will adjust accordingly.

That's way too high. Did you get tested right after a shot?

His doc is a dumbass having him on every other week injections and shod have already lowered his dose especially if that was 8 days after the injection. He needs a new doctor.

Essentially feeling like you are sub 25 again. Did effects after a very real possibility of going sterile, zero production of natural testosterone are the only real side effects if kept within normal levels.

I've been on for about 2 years. I take .5cc on Mondays and .25 in Fridays and feel great. As far as weight control goes, if anything it added weight on the scale for me but it was good weight. I already worked out 4-5 days a week so didn't change anything there, but body composition did change with healthier test levels.

How did you know your T was low? Just feeling tired and sluggish?

After your femur break did you try going back to the gym without the Test help?

My test is fine. I’m 30 but do want to be on the lookout, apparently in 5 years. Seems to be when you guys are getting hit.
