Anybody follows Corey Gregory's methods? For those that don't know who he is, he created musclepharm and now has maxeffort. He was a bodybuilder, powerlifter and weightlifter. Used to lift at Westside and opened old school iron in Columbus that he has since sold.

Anyways dude knows his shite used to be prominent on bb.com

Was wondering if anyone follows his methods specifically his lunges 400 or 800 meters everyday for conditioning.

He posted his routine to add to any program yesterday which is

Every session-

100 ab rollouts
200 crunches with a 25lbs plate behind head
400m lunge minimum everyday

Seems interesting and coming from him it will no doubt be very effective, was wondering if anyone else does this or similar

yea I been doing them for part of my warm up and have worked up to 50 and my legs burn like a mofo after.

I might go try and get a lap in trying it this weekend if weather is good.

Don't mean for a hijack but this guy seems to have a bit of his own techniques. IDK if anyone has heard of him but thinking of trying his advice out when I get back into the gyming

He’s certainly cut enough to warrant respect.

I caught on to him about 6 months ago. It's been nice seeing his channel grow. He keeps his videos concise so you can watch them to get some nice ideas without having to waste time with a lot of filler talk. He also has a "Yeah, this is how it's properly taught for safety, but I'm not afraid to break convention and be a bit of a rebel" attitude, which I actually like. Others, however, may not be so high on that mindset.

Used to follow his programs in college and when he went out on his own I subscribed to his app and loved it. Great for people like me that had no idea what I was doing programming. Lots of squats and heavy lifts with body building movements too. I stopped because I got into CrossFit but still use a lot of his workouts when I want a good bro pump

The lunges were great but I didn’t sleep well enough to do it everyday In top of the other stuff. Ive since learned sleep is important. He also does the lunges because he hates “traditional cardio”. I like running so it wasn’t something I felt like I needed to do everyday.

ETA: but the lunges did make my hips stronger overall. It was worth adding a few times a week

Good to hear.

After thinking about it, I don't feel like I am ready for lunges like that. So what I am going to do is something similar to Waterbury's plp challenge to prepare

Starting with the following daily and adding 10% weekly for 100 days. I am more looking for a mix of hypertrophy and strength so I will keep it to a sub max effort but more than a traditional 4-5 left in the tank that a frequency method calls for

Ring pushups-100 reps
Walking lunges-200 reps(100 per leg)
Ring chins- 50 reps
Hanging leg raise- 100 reps

After 100 days and a week off, I will try 4-6 of pushing the pushups and pullups to failure with some static holds just to really build the strength side up.

Goal is to recomp some and add strength endurance on this. Hopefully after I can hit the track lunging and get close to the greyskull challenges for pushups and pullups.

I did his anabolic fasting program for awhile and had great results immediately. However, it did not mix well with Crossfit or high intensity workouts for a sustained period. I ended up burning out my adrenals.
