Currently 150 Lb but trying to get to 160

I have about 23% Bodyfat

I should be eating 1500 or so calories per day to “stay the same”.

My question is, can you take in a lot of protein (only eat chicken, eggs, protein shake, rice occasionally) but eat only around 1000 calories and still build muscle while also lowering bodyfat percentage?

I have been doing this for about a week and I can see a huge difference already in a slimmer face, more vascular arms, and more muscle definition.

Basically my goal is to get to around 15% bodyfat and get to 160Lb by the end of the year.

But do I need to be eating 2000+ calories per day for this or will taking in 100+ grams of protein per day (but not a ton of calories) be sufficient?

ETA - do I need to be carbing up?

I find it hard to picture this, but I guess it's possible.

You will lose both fat & muscle on a restricted diet like that. I would go to 2,000 cals and hit a 40/30/30 (F/P/C) macro range and start a strength program.

500 calories above maintenance and you’ll gain weight. Also, 23% BF is high to be trying to gain weight unless you are going for just sheer weight or a slow recomp.

About 5 4

I was 185 a few years back. Lost a lot of fat. Still have some in the stomach but it has started to tone up this past month. Got down to 140 at my smallest but I was pretty skinny. Added about 10 lb of weight since then.

The 23% is from a body index machine. May not be 100% accurate.

Also, maybe gain weight is not the correct term.

I want to get leaner but put on muscle mass.

You should just do a recomp then. Eat at maintenance while working out with a good strength training program.

If you eat at -500 calorie deficit you’ll only lose weight, and not build the muscle you want.

Thanks.

I have been trying to eat what I can lately. I probably do average between 1000-1800 calories per day in food and then drink hexapro also. My appetite has been down for some reason tho and i feel full more often. Probably just stressful stuff rite now.

I have been thinking about taking a SARM cycle again rite now as well. About a year ago I had put on some good size and leaned up from it but this past year has not been the best.

23% BF is the lowest that I have ever been at. At that time i was 157 with more muscle mass but about 26% BF. Im not sure if the machine is that accurate tho. I do have to say rite now I probably look leaner than them but i also look a lot “smaller” in size.

Not trying to be a dick, but you shouldn’t really even thinking about SARMS until you have approached your natural limits and you’re just not there at 20%+ BF (assuming your numbers are right). Bonkers is right. You should recomp to get your BF down to <15% and then go from there. To get an idea, are your abs visible? At 20+ the average person isn’t going to show much abs.

I honestly do not think that the machine is correct at 23%. I did put in 5 5 for the height but I'm probably a bit shorter than that so im sure that is a part of the calculation. If I had to guess I am probably closer to 18/19 % just by looking.

I do not have a 6 pack but I am starting to see my abs and not much stomach fat left.

That sounds about right at 18-19. I’d still recommend the recomp. If you turn your current weight into 12% BF, you’ll look “bigger” even though your weight stays the same.

Setting high goals is great and all but giving yourself about 11 weeks to gain 10 lbs while dropping 8% body fat is a bit unrealistic. Also the holidays rarely help.
