Talks about how corrupt insurance and pharma is. This stuff makes me pissed off.

Later goes on about BPC 157 and stem cells.

Taking BPC-157 and in 10 days of 200mcg subcutaneous injections twice a day has rid me of every single symptom of my gastric ulcers and ulcerative colitis.

A very good episode. Really like how he covered rx costs via insurance vs cash and how tangled the web is.

Any time people bring up how we need universal insurance, etc. I say it's insurance that wrecked this whole system in the first place. We pretty much all get the same services we would be getting anyway, now we just pay someone else to pay the bill for us. The sure as hell aren't doing it for free, so as a society, we will be paying more for healthcare to make a profit for the insurance industry. Industry is driven by profit, so they will continue to find ways to increase their margins. They reduce coverage and drive up price. In theory universal insurance may not drive up price since it'd be government run, but it will 100% play games with what you are allowed to get done in order to reign in costs. Or they'll just continue to raise taxes because government already can't control spending. And this all assumes our politicians aren't corrupt and protecting their special interest lobbyist friends.

This podcast only strengthened what I thought. Burn it all down.

The fact that the companies decide on the tier drug and are not allowed to discuss off copay prices is so infuriating.

The one example he gave was that the pharmacist is at cost $2 and charges $4 to the customer if paying in cash. If they have a copay amount, the pharmacist can't tell them they can get it at $4 but instead pays $10.
