The base model is nearly half off. Anybody use these things? The reviews are not quite as good as the Concept 2 but the differences don't seem huge. LINK

Agreed. I have some “sunny” brand $200 rower that I bought on amazon to try out rowing in general. I loved it until I tried a concept 2 while on vaca. Now I just want to through mine in the trash.

Check out xebex rowers from getrxd.com as well. Got mine in this week and it's every bit as nice as any concept 2 I've ever used

only rower that matches the concept 2 is the xebex, its actual heavier duty then the concept 2. but concept 2 has much better monitor.

for air bikes rogue echo, air assualt, xebex, air mill, and air dyne are all good but air dyne is not nearly as good as the others. Echo is the best due to belt drive.

for skierg, xebex and concept2

for treadmills- woodway is the best by far then its pertty equal between true runner, xebex and assualt.

versaclimber is in a league of its own when it comes to the climbers.

I liked the Xebex Rowers but the calibration for calories and meters is not the same as the Concept 2. Not sure why but we have 2 Xebex and 12 Concept 2 rowers. Xebex is always faster in terms of reaching a set cal or distance. So in a box setting or if you use Concept 2 at a box and do a comparative workout at home Xebex really doesn't correlate.

But yes, Xebex is very smooth and durable from what I can tell and if I didn't use Concept 2 at my box then I would've bought the Xebex.

I have the Nordictrack R200 in my garage. Granted I only use it once a week for 3 x 10 minute sets but I have no issues with it. I have used the Concept 2 at the gym and didn't notice a huge difference.

The new monitors fixed this.
