Update: weighed in at 256.8, thought I would be a little lower, but I'm working pretty hard in the gym, so could be muscle, idk. Pants are a little looser, but shirts not so much.

VA dietician put in a consult for contrave, said the combination naltrexone/bupropion might be effective in reducing cravings.

I'm fasting today for Good Friday, and I could eat a horse, lol.

Do you even Rice Krispie Treat before the gym bro?
i don't buy it because I'm weak and will eat it way before the gym and the box will be gone in 2 days . And yes i "understand why people may eat a treat before gym". I choose to eliminate sugar, intake more complex carbohydrates within my daily alotment, protien laced with jugs of water and choose to enter the gym after lunch when my stomach is digesting food a couple hrs later and can take on a workout without fear of feeling weak or at a loss of energy which is why some may eat a rice crispy treat beforehand. I don't choose nor is it "needed" for the gym. If that's your choice then good for you. Most people are either born fat or born to be fat. If your neither, then by all means eat quick energy boosts with sugar, instead of burning fat reserves all you want before a workout mr science man. But for someone to say they intentionally eat sugar things on purpose(not you) and lose weight is wild

That’s not what I said, you just don’t have the mental acuity to understand what I said

I forgot third graders read everything at a literal level and don’t yet understand context, Mingo regrets the error

Also, started gym, specifically lifting weights, 3-4 days per week. I know it's been a couple of weeks since getting more radical, but happen to get a glance of my side view in the mirror, and what the hell, can I look just "slightly" smaller?

Lifting is great, but you need to add in at the very least 30 min of walking per day

Primary care has sent additional info to my insurance so they will approve Wegovy, in the meantime, has mentioned Contrave as a fallback to eliminate cravings.

Do all this if you must...but just eating fatty meat will reduce food cravings

Sounds like you are on right path, but consistency is key, not intensity

very good pointer! Takes longer to digest making you feel full longer. Avocado and fish also for those fats other than non processed meat.

You need to lower your glycemic index

Also look up the high dose melatonin thread. It works

Update: been at this for over three weeks. Weight has been stubborn, holding in 250’s, gut still looks like a damn bowling ball. Pants fitting slightly better still.

Lifting 4 days a week, need to increase walking daily. Wife and I are hiking a few miles this Sunday. Still no pop, had a dessert on Easter and ate too much overall.

VA approved me for contrave ( naltrexone plus bupropion). My va primary doc agreed to draw testosterone levels .

Overall, my energy levels have increased. I love the feeling after a good session at the gym. Sleeping better, wife said I’m snoring less, or so she notices.
Still dealing with food cravings that I feel are probably psychological. Hope the contrave tamps that down

That’s what I figured, the weight didn’t accumulate overnight.
