I’ve never gotten fever blisters and I’ve had what looks like three around my nose the last couple of months.
After some online research, apparently high levels of arginine can cause fever blisters to pop up as arginine is what fuels them. Had no idea.

Guess I’ll stick with just citrulline?

This is true. L-lysine will help with cold sores. If you are taking Arginine then you need to supplement L-lysine to reduce frequency and duration of outbreaks.

I have about 20-30 memories under the age of 5, some very vivid. One of them involves having a fever blister on my bottom lip at 3 years old. I’ve had about 20 more since then over about 40 years.

When I see comments like in this thread, always makes me wonder how I got that 1st one. Kissing one of my grandmas? They were the only two people I kissed on lips.
