I injured my left middle finger in January 2018 bowling while completely hammered. My friends egged me on to bowl a heavier ball even though I was fine and getting strikes/spares doing what I was doing. Well I picked a 14 lb ball I believe and immediately when I threw it the entire weight of the ball went on my middle finger and basically pulled it backwards toward my wrist. Immediately knew it was fricked, but didn't really do much but see an orthopedist maybe a month after.

So I wore a splint for awhile which only provided temporary relief by making it looser after wearing it, but it just tensed up and got tight again after. Now fast foward to now as it's just starting to get chillier out and it seems the weather is affecting it... it's locking up and takes effort to even bend my joints back turn curl a fist. I don't understand why it's just now doing this almost 3 years later? I imagine this is what old people deal with with their joints when it's cold?

When I pull my middle finger toward my palm really fast over and over it you can hear all the noises it makes.

I had the same injury bowling and I had trigger finger for 3 years. It finally went away.
