Are these things legit?

I have the chance to pick up a barely used one for $40 with all of the attachments and upgraded "weights" to 310 pounds.

Should I get it?

Parents bought it for their kid and he never used it. Eventually he moved out and it's just been taking up space in their house.

I would rather do barbell training but if that's all you got or is supplemental, go for it. If you grow out of it, sell it for >$50.

If it's only 40 bucks then why the heck not. Do it.

I plan on it.

I'm just curious if anyone has gotten good results from one.

I read about 15 years ago that the drummer for the band Fuel took one on the road with him whenever they were touring.

Well, it's resistance equipment. Of course it will get the job done. Just make sure you have great form and keep at it.

Buy it for $40, sell it for $400, then buy a barbell and some weights

I have gym access with all the bells and whistles already.

I go on my lunch break everyday during the work week, but I live far away so I'm looking for something to use at home on the weekends so I don't have to drive all the way out there.

If it's just to supplement your resistance training on the weekends, and you have the space go for it.

much better off getting a set of gymnastic rings or trx trainer. I had a bowflex, complete piece of shite imo. Not worth the space. LIke you I got it for $50 and thought, why not. Its a compelete waste of space, thats why.

OK. Sell it and buy anything else but another Bowflex. Powerblocks are great
