I’ve been an teacher/instructor for a bit. I was lucky enough to attend a school near the OTC and one of my teachers was a retired female power lifter. The last 10 years has seen a much better focus on functional anatomy. Quite frankly, many of the cues being given for years were not good for your spine. As you are all likely lifters in some shape or form, if you’re looking for good anatomical analysis of different poses, this guy has good stuff:

yoga studio 90.com. Local Baton Rouge girl has a lot of freebies on you tube. did the back pain ones and man got to say feel better after doing them 2 times a day for last 3 days. Its worth a try. didnt realize how in flexible I really was

I did the P90X yoga back in the day and I really enjoyed. I haven’t done P90X in about 7 years but I wouldn’t mind added the yoga session to my current routine

I enjoy it when I do it.. nothing crazy like the standing on your head stuff.. but good for elongating/ stretching the spine.. I like that.
