It’s ketosis. Been fasting 60 - 64 hrs twice a week since March and down 45 lbs. Works.

Recently started following these 3, and giving up wheat:

yeah, OR maybe its the fact you're not eating any food 2 days out of the week and then restricting your calorie intake the other 5

The way I read that, he's claiming to fast 60-64 hours twice a week for a total weekly fasting hours of 120-128 hours??? That's gotta be mis-typed, right? That would mean he's fasting a whole 5 out of 7 days every week, which I highly doubt. At that point it's not fasting it's just anorexia. I hope he's not doing that. Even if he meant 60-64 hours spread across 2 fasts, that is excessive to do it weekly, week after week after week. frick THAT!

Yeah, it’s excessive. I’m impatient.
I eat on Tue, Fri & Sat, not breaking the fast until mid-day on Tue & Fri.

Plan to cut back on the fasting to only 2 days a week and/or switch to 6 hr window IF once I hit my target weight, and adjust if I start to gain again.

Between working out now and losing the wheat I should be able to keep it off this time. Lost 50 lbs in 2020 when I was working out of state, but then came back to Louisiana after Covid and gained it all back again, Don’t want to go through that again.

I feel fricking great. Mostly from the exercise I would think.

I'm not trying to be mean, but you have an eating disorder.

3 days is a good "intro" fast, but what surprised me was that after about the 2nd or 3rd day it gets easier and I didn't want to eat.

I also learned that it's critical to phase in and phase out of a fast, don't just stop eating and don't just restart with chicken wings or such.

Last point, and apologies for the topic, but it's amazing what continues to come out of your bowels even after you haven't eaten for days - that's what's been attached to your intestinal walls as your body cleanses itself.

I don’t.

This is only the second time in my life that I’ve dieted at all, and I’m 55. I was just not happy with myself at 263 (6’1”), and didn’t want to wait to lose it.

I can easily stop fasting, trust me it’s a bitch. Just trying to get down close to my target weight first. Sometimes I cheat with a few walnuts or goji berries to get me through, but mostly I do pretty good sticking with it.

Really looking forward to getting below 200 so I can ease up a bit, at 217 now so shouldn’t be too much longer - another couple of months

The old metabolism just slows down and makes it easy to gain weight when you’re older.

Excited about everything I’ve learned this time around re the poison in our processed foods - plan to stick with the keto / carnivore diet like 90% of the time even when I’m done with the fasting. The micro-biome yogurt info was awesome as well re eliminating / preventing inflammation and other issues.

this is false

im not going to argue on the rest as i have done plenty of 3-4 day fast and i get being impatient but i will say you would be much better off just getting on the god damn medicine than starving away or better yet just learn to eat correctly workout

but at 263, you are not going to burn much muscle so its fine to do this to jump start
