Thanks for the encouragement! In my twenties and early thirties, I was a workout freak, though not like some of you guys. For reference, I got up to a bench max of 280 with a body weight of 150.
Then I got married at 33 and had a kiddo. This has truly been eye-opening as to just how bad I have let myself get out of shape, even though I only weigh 165 now.....just none of it muscle.
I will NOT come close to 10k this month, but I WILL do 10k in a month sometime soon.
Already clearing junk off/around the bowflex and my 12 year daughter is ready to start a workout program.
Thanks all for the motivation.

Bro, you sound like me. I was always athletic, but I let myself go during law school and it got worse after my son was born. 5'11" and 208 pounds was not a good look on me. My face was fat, my gut protruded to where I was embarrassed to wear normal clothes. My waist got to 37 inches. Ugh. That was last October. Now, I'm a different man.

I've only done 50 so far today. May not catch CptBengal today.

On another note, I'm having my BMI measured on 8/16. Had it measured in the beginning of June and was at 12.03%. Not that it matters because I'll be doing the push-ups regardless, but how effective would you say push-ups are in regard to losing fat? I'm guessing not much, but it just got me wondering.
1. You can measure your BMI on your own here.
2. A BMI of 12 is severely underweight according to the standardly recognized tables.
3. I'm guessing you're most certainly referring to your body fat %. If you're not full of shite, then 12% body fat is quite good.
4. If your goal is to get under 10% body fat from your current 12%, unfortunately doing shite loads of push ups will not suffice. Track your calorie intake with Myfitnesspal.
5. Why on god's green earth do you you want to be below 10% body fat? Do you have a body building show that you're competing in coming up? Do you like being hungry and irritable?

I for one, am probably not hitting anywhere near 650 again. We'll see. I'm starting to feel slight soreness.

I myself am only doing 100 each day. 50 in the morning, 50 at night. Maybe I'll work myself up to completing this challenge. I just don't know that I'm disciplined enough to force myself to keep getting on the floor to complete 10k

I want to throw up. I did legs today. Started off with box jumps and doing them at 42".
and
at the same time. Did my pushups in between sets. Got some hack squats in there also.

I'm probably dropping to a lower number tomorrow during back day.

8/1- 150
8/2- 250
8/3- 0
8/4- 360
8/5- 400
I have been alternating sets of regular, military, and diamond push-ups for mine. Today all after 200 hurt.
And frick me I have been doing all mine after work. My tris, shoulders, and chest are tired...

You're right, I meant body fat percentage. What can I say, I'm far from being a fitness expert.
I'm honestly not full of shite, that's what my percent was as of early June. definitely no body building in my future, I'm just looking to get in better shape.

The opposite actually. I've been eating a lot more than I used to, it's just a much healthier intake.
