Am I the only one that can never see the line? It’s always just a guess.

Aimpoint Express says hello.

I was terrible at seeing the line, then I started doing the "feel the slope with your feet and use your fingers to find the line"

I'm still getting use to it, but I have gotten a lot more consistent. Almost cut the 3 putt out completely.

When I line up a putt on a chalk line, the line looks curved to me as I look toward the hole. I close my right eye for the short putts; that fixes the problem.

Are you right eye dominant?

I always see a line I just don’t always execute.

No, left eye dominant. I know, doesn't make sense. I'd go see that optometrist in Colorado that the pros go to (Farnsworth?), but he'd probably tell me to quit golf.

I’m left eye dominant as well.

I find that older players use plumb bobbing and aimpoint. They can’t get low anymore. That’s what helps me. Getting down behind the ball and seeing the slope and grain from there. Same when I’m on the opposite side of the hole. I could see myself having lots of trouble I couldn’t squat down anymore.

My issue is speed control. And a lot of that is because I pick my head up too early.

Yes, I played last Monday. It was in terrible shape. Even if it hadn’t been so wet, it was rough.

It’s hard to describe how bad the greens are. It’s like there are little turtle shells of different grasses everywhere. WTF?!
They’ve always had trouble with #1 green but they are almost all fricked now. What happened?

Right? I found a great drill to help me. Put a tee all the way in the green below the ball. See the tee. Has helped me center the ball really well.

It’s a putting drill to help keep your head down through contact. Put a tee all the way in the ground. Place the ball there. When you putt, see the tee under the ball.
