Zero interest. It’s an exhibition, players have already been paid more than they can win. Hearing that Dechambeau going there too, good riddance. I watch a lot of golf, including DP, LPGA etc. I like watching them play for something. Not interested in this cash grab

Side note. Tiger is out for the US Open?

Crazy how quickly this board did a 180 on this.
Phil got burned at the stake at the beginning and everyone here seemed pleased...
Now everyone hates the PGA and is all in on the Saudi league..
Just crazy...

In my opinion, yes. The fact that those battling for the lead aren’t finishing on the same holes will be more difficult to follow. You will also not know where they are on the golf course. It may say they are through 7 holes, but you don’t know which 7 holes have been played.
The score will indicate which hole the golfer is on. Should be pretty easy to figure out which holes he has played.
-3 thru 10 and is on hole 17. Tells you right there which holes have been played.

Men like drama just as much as women, regardless of what we say
They like theirs in love and social circles, and we like ours in sport and war

We’re preparing for The Open Championship next month. Please respect our decision. Thanks.

Yes. Frankly, I think that the majority of the criticism of the golfers leaving the PGA for LIV is simply jealousy. You get these people who are virtue signaling the whole human rights/Saudi aspect of it, but these people don't have the opportunity to make $125mm. If they did, I assure you they'd change their tune quick.

Yep, players have already gotten their money now before the tournament even starts. I'm sure they will want to win, but a huge incentive has been taken away from them. I wonder how long the Saudi's are willing to lose money? I know they have very deep pockets, but there is no way this thing can make money in the long run with these ridiculous contracts.

I’ll go play. No problem.

There's still a shite ton of money at state every tournament, $4 million for the winner. And not ever player got $100 million +. I bet Talor Gooch got like $15 million or so, I bet he's motivated to go try to take the dub and pocket $4 million more every tournament.

Add Bryson and PReed.
Perfect! Even more reason not to watch. PGA Tour looking better and better

What an awesome model to have a guy like Talor Gooch become the best player because he is the most motivated!

Well, until Bryson, P, bubba, Kokrak, and maybe Adam Scott and others join

Bubba hasn't won anything since 2018 and is 43. Bryson is already injury plagued. Kokrak

Here's my question, since the field is limited and they offered "captain" spots to some lower level guys ...
I'm assuming these guys are bumping the ams in the field from the group of 48, but how many were promised their own teams?
Might already have to start adding expansion teams if they add more #1 caliber guys.
Posted on 6/8/22 at 9:47 am to LMfan
That is what I was wondering as well, these younger guys who haven’t had much success are smart for jumping on early.

Keep laughing. They've already taken more Tour guys than anyone expected, and in a relatively short period of time. Won't be long before we see other top 25 guys give it a go.
