Will they have any self awareness about the merger?

Meaning will the PGA and the players say their piece and be done quickly. This sounds similar to a strike to me already. NFL and MLB fans hate hearing millionaires argue with billionaires. This is essentially what we have here.
I also heard the golf channel talking with Brandel Chamblee. Smartly they left him at home and did not bring him in studio. Even he softened a bit saying had this not happened the only people who make money were the lawyers. The golf channel did the most coverage of course but they still work for the PGA essentially. They can not go too hard against their bosses so listening to them becomes tedious.
Sucks that Rory will look foolish and really sucks that Phil will smell like a rose. Two days ago he was taking shots at Bones about how much he paid him, and risked losing everything PR wise he’d ever built.
Talking about all of this for too long will piss fans off. I just don’t know what “too long” is.

1. I’m fascinated by this whole saga and how it went down. I hope they make a 30 for 30 on it.
2. According to almost everyone on the inside Rory has the respect of all the players. Fans may not like everything he has to say, but the players seem to follow his lead. That says more about him than anything we post.
3. This is the biggest story in all of sports and rocked the golf world. It’s not going away anytime soon. The US Open will probably calm some of the talk down though.

When I watched the post interviews of the player’s meeting, I got the impression this story broke way before intended. Would
Make sense inasmuch as it was announced on MSNBC(only)instead of a sports channel or a formal press conference , the players were given few details about plans, and virtually everyone on both sides had no idea it was happening.
I wonder if they even have all the details in place yet.

Why does it really suck that Phil will smell like a bed of roses? Phil has done more for golf, and for professional players, than anyone of the current players except for Tiger. He called out the tour's BS, and they pretty much did everything he said they should be doing.
If you read what Phil said about Bones, all he said was he paid him 14%, which is about 1 million more than the next highest guy. He was responding to a twitter comment that claimed he didn't pay Bones. Bones even said Phil paid him more of a percentage than anyone on tour.

The Netflix series “Full Swing” was filming when the players found out. It will be released in 2024.

define this for me. What exactly is/was BS? I'm not asking to start an argument, I just never understood what the PGA does/did that was so bad if the players were agreeing to abide by it.

Fair enough. “Really suck” is a bit strong. Let’s see how it plays out and how Phil handles this win publicly.
