Grew up in Baton Rouge. I now live in North Atlanta area and I’m a member at a ClubCorp club. I love the variety I get to play in Atlanta area and areas all over the southeast.
I’ve noticed there are no options in south Louisiana are tough. Just curios I guess

There's not really a lot of middle tier private clubs in SLA. You've got some nice places and some dog tracks, but not much in the middle. Plus, it seems they congregate to larger markets. Houston and DFW have a shite load, but they also have a golf middle class.

They've also destroyed Southern Trace, so I'm sure many boards around will steer clear of Clubcorp

That’s a shame. Majority of the courses here in the Atlanta area are in great shape

Just no private entity clubs that want to sell. TBH Pelican Point would be a great one to come in and revamp everything.

Copper Mill could be another being as all the infrastructure is there.

SE Louisiana weather and potential closed days are a major reason Club Corp and many other management companies shy away from Louisiana. Look at the weather pattern we are in now.......6 inches of rain since Monday......not much golf until it dries out = reduced income for the courses.
