Looking to purchase a new driver. I’m not opposed to a past generation of any model if it’s better than the current. Have hit the latest titleist, calaway offerings. Didn’t like the set up of the paradigm (looked closed to me, wasn’t the draw bias set up) and TSr (I liked the look and feel but really didn’t like the sound that it made). I’m a 7 handicap. Can work the ball both directions. Avg swing speed is between 100-105.

If you are a 7 handicap you need to get fitted, your swing is likely plenty consistent enough

What’s the best place? I’m not a member anywhere so don’t have the advantage of going to a local club like UC or CCL.

I'm not a member at UC but did a fitting there .. You can schedule and appointment with Parker online and just go.. well worth the money..

The Cobra AeroJet is right there too.

I just tried the Cally Paradym and returned it, it just didn't perform like the AeroJet for me.

Definitely get fitted, at your handicap, the shaft is more important than the club head. For the most part all the driver heads are equally as potent. Getting the right shaft will unlock a lot more in your game that a new driver head.

For instance, I ended up with a very heavy EvenFlow 75 gram X-stiff shaft after a fitting. I would have never considered either that wight or stiffness. Funny thing happened, I lost a couple MPH on my swing, but the ball goes much further because of the stability and low launch and spin from the shaft. I ended up finding more distance and less dispersion using the same driver head that I've had for a couple seasons now (Ping G425).

100% agree. I hit the new stuff a grand total of 2yds further than my 9yr old G30. I was fitted. And our numbers are very similar. I can touch 107 but live @ 104-105.

I would get fitted for sure. With that being said, i really like my Stealth but loved my Sim even more before. Still use the Sim a ton

The Stealth is just a Sim but it's red instead of blue. .

I like my Cobra LTDx, but like others have said, getting fit is important- especially to get the best shaft for you.

If you just want to go off the shelf, PXG and Tour Edge have good pricing.

Sub70 is intriguing to me as well.

If you’re a 7 looking to beat out the current gamer, Tharen a fitting is the only way to go.

Just understand that driver tech hasn’t evolved that much in past couple of decades.

Lol, I'm still using my PING Rapture. It just feels right and I'm confident with it.

Got a Stealth today. Tried the Paradym, all 3 heads and just didn’t feel right.

On the Trackman I was hitting the Stealth 10 yards further than my M2. Head feels a bit lighter, and since I’m old now and won’t ever see anything over 110 swing speed again I think lighter will help me get through it better.

That Stealth comes with the Ventus shaft right? What shaft did you have in the M2?

I got fitted and was hoping to get the new Ping. After hitting TM, Callaway, and Ping, I seemed to hit the previous model of the Callaway better. It’s the Rouge. My handicap and swing speed is in the same neighborhood. I would definitely get fitted at a reputable place that knows how to coalesce the data properly on a trackman and make adjustments in loft, shaft and club for you.
