What’s your best putting drills or tips to get better?

My putting is best when I walk up and just hit it, the longer I stand over it the less I make best contact and stroke it at correct speed

My understanding is making sure the face is square to the line you pick and then getting the speed right are the biggest things.
String or yardstick putting might help square face.
Speed, putt from 20,40,30, 10 feet and just feel it.
Squaring the face depends on how you see the line. Which eye is dominant?
I have to set face before feet. Step in and go. I have to stay still until ball is gone.

Eyeline golf putting mirror with two tees as a gate has helped me tremendously. Helps you get aligned perfectly every time. Hit a ton of 5-10 footers with this when I need to hone in my stroke mechanics.

Start at the hole and then walk out 5 feet....
Once you have a feel for that distance, give yourself putts anytime inside that

I like to play a little game we call 21 with a buddy.
You go to the practice green, pick two holes. You take turns putting at the hole. Closest to the hole gets a point, 3 points if you make it.
That's my go to if my putting gets out of whack. It's mostly just repetition. But sooner or later you'll find your best stroke and a good pace.

These are all great tips - thank you - nice to have a game to play while using these drills

Around the World.
Place a 4 balls 1-2 feet away from hole. One at 12 o'clock, one at 3 o'clock, one at 6 o'clock, and one 9 o'clock. Sink all 4 putts. If you miss, start over.
Make them and then move to 3-4 feet. Repeat and move farther back.
For speed, i like this one: Find a flat spot on putting green. Drop 3-4 balls down and take a comfortable "normal" stroke, toe-toe. Putt in different directions. Step off the distance, usually 6-7 paces. Use that as a guide on the greens. If it's 5-6 paces, greens are slow. If it's 7-8 paces, greens are fast. Adjust stroke for uphill/downhill.
Gives me a good idea of the speed at the course before I head out.

Master lag putting.
Practice getting 30 foot putts inside 3 feet.
Then practice 3 for putts until you are blue in the face and it’s almost automatic.
You become a great lag putter you will become a great putter.

Agreed with this.
I won't pretend to be an excellent golfer, but my putting has improved a LOT lately. It started when I started focusing on the lag putting.
It prevents the dreaded 3+ putt. At least for weekend warriors.
The biggest change I've made effects the line. Missing 3' putts plagued me for a long time. The entire golf game benefits from the follow through more than the backswing. When I make contact, I make sure my putter continues in the line that I want it to. That follow through has been key to me. Get the speed right, and keep that putter headed on the line, and it makes putts so much closer or sink more often.

When I’m practicing 3-5 footers I’m putting at a tee, not a cup.
If I’m hitting the tee consistently, I’m on target. Cup looks big when you line up a 4 footer after that.

100% this is something I focus on as well
If my putts start getting off line, my only thought is to keep the putter head moving down the intended line after the ball is struck
