Lately I think about touching my chin with my left forearm then I begin my downswing. I begin my downswing by bumping my left hip slightly forward then drop my arms. Works for me.

I honestly dont have one I feel is primary. I have about 6 thoughts simultaneously and they're equally important for me to make a good golf shot.
- Come back slowly
- Keep head down
- Keep left arm extended
- Keep right elbow tucked
- Keep balance in my feet toe to heel. I have a tendency to lean forward a little.
- Don't swing too hard
This is all in my head together. When I do all that, I usually hit a decent shot.

about 1/2 way back i focus on the wrist hinge, as that approaches the top of the back swing, I start the weigh shift with the front foot/hip to start the drop/rotation. when i forget about the wrist hinge, lots of things go off track, fast.
its funny how setting the wrist in my head starts the feel of the "get weight forward" in my swing, but when i lose that thought, i lose my rhythm.

I am dumb. I can’t think during a swing.
Once I address ball, I just react.
I guess I look at the swing similar to skipping a rock on a pond. Just do it.
Surely some of these are pre-swing thoughts?
Standing behind the ball and getting a feel for a swinging motion is something I do.

trust me, i try to think as little as possible!! lol literally think slow take back, hinge, set. that's about it. if i don't think at all, i convert to overswinging which goes back to an outside\in arms swing. the few thoughts i have are more for rhythm\tempo, not actually thinking.

So it is a quick checklist right before takeaway?
Sounds reasonable.
My neurons don’t fire fast enough to have a thought after the club moves.

Right now, it's to keep my left wrist slightly bowed or flat at the very least, because I've recently gotten into a bad habit of a cupped wrist causing weak right shots.
Ask me again in a week and it will be something totally unrelated.

Pivot around my right knee, left shoulder behind the ball at the top, hands drop first
340 down the middle.
340 down the middle.

100%. anything starts going through the bucket of rocks up there i can go from someone who looks like they can shoot a score to someone who should shoot their scorecard.

Tell myself to swing hard and think about hitting it left
