Had it happen to me today. I was behind the green and they pitched on. I warned them and rhey didn't care. Course managers did nothing after I complained.

Shoots into you? Do you play golf in the 9th ward?

Depends on the situation

We’re you done with the hole or over the green still playing? Big difference imho

If I thought they knew I was still playing the hole I’d probably put down a tee and pickup their ball and throw it back to them

Depends I guess. Did they think you were done with the hole? We’re you playing super slow?
Did they do it on purpose?

I was leading the OP to this quite obvious conclusion.

Have you been holding the play and they were waiting on you for the past 9 holes?

Was there no one in front of you and you didn’t let them through?

Context matters

If you want to play slow, it’s ok but let others through if there is no one in front of you. I hate slow play and won’t golf on weekends anymore

If a foursome hits into a twosome on a non driveable par 4, I’m letting them thru.

No.

It was our first hole. we started on the back nine. Looking back, probably a mistake. But even on the 1st hole other people were teeing off on our time.

We were going a bit slow bc I'm teaching her. I did try to speed it up.

Next time, I'll start on the 1st, go to a less popular course on a less popular time. We went in the AM last time, zero problems.

BTW... do golf courses overbook?
